The Ceiling Stares / The Super Vacations

The Ceiling Stares and The Super Vacations have teamed up on their latest 7” vinyl single, a split release from Velocity of Sound and Sweaters & Pearls Records. Each band offers up their own take on a modern psychedelic, lo-fi inspired sound from the East Coast.

The Ceiling Stares track, “A Tunnel Through the Air” was originally released on a 4 song EP, and this is the first time the Pittsburgh based band has released any material on vinyl. Heavy beats, jangly guitars, vocal harmony and possessed organ riff jams made pressing this at 33rpm a necessity.

The Super Vacations have a sinister psyche-pop take on their smoke filled studio with two tracks: “Hexing” and “Controller”. Dense, hazy, riff filled, fast burning blasts of rock.
The Virginia 5 piece of Rob Ulsh, Ryan Ulsh, Mike Hill, Bladen Day, and Ross Guthrie are touring the East Coast the end of this summer look out for the gang, in a town near you.

Split 7"

Two great bands on one hell of a record. It probably won't make up for accidentally killing their dog, but giving your parents this record would go a long way towards getting you back in their will. They'll be dead soon, and there isn't much time left, so order today!
